Client Need:
This luxury high-rise condominium complex called for a distinctive main entry paving scheme with a gazebo in the center. Concrete needed to be poured over a waterproof membrane and drain board.
Solution:
CHI was able to install Bomanite® imprinted concrete over the waterproof membrane and drain board in the colors and patterns specified to create the incredible design. As a value engineering process the bands were poured monolithically with the field, saw-cut, and colored with a tinted sealer to differentiate them from the field.
Results:
Black bands separate the colors and create "spokes" that integrate the paving design with lighting and other architectural elements around the perimeter. Steps at the entry to the building complete the design.
Awards:
1999 Bomanite® Corporation Bronze Award Outstanding Bomanite® Project Worldwide
