Client Need:
The various designers and general contractors who worked on this HOA needed a skilled and reliable concrete contractor who could do a variety of concrete paving finishes and techniques to create beautiful common areas and entrances.
Solution:
CHI was able to do all of the work using all of the required paving techniques. Because of the versatility of concrete CHI was able to produce the entrance, lobby area, pool deck and signage all in the completely different effects required using concrete.
Results:
The rock feature at the entrance is 4000 square feet of GFRC (castings). Textured and colored in a sandstone finish, the 12' x 40' signs form a majestic background for the attractive palomino logo. Similar rock features flank this entry sign and grace other landmarks throughout the development. The pool deck is a swirl finish with custom mixed colors. Different custom mixed colors are used for the interiors. Reactive stains used are Auburn, Caribbean Blue and Meadow. The bar / cafe, South lobby, foyer, hall and vestibule were alternately stained using a reactive stain or imprinted concrete was installed in the Large Random Slate pattern. A compass with a palomino is sandblasted into the clubhouse floor. Imprinted and specially colored concrete was also used to build custom chess tables and seats.
