CASE STUDY INDEX
Client Need:
Deteriorating exterior terrazzo needed to be replaced to better fit and even improve the character of the Aurora Justice Center.

Solution:
CHI participated with the City of Aurora and their design team in the planning and on-site sampling for the project well before it even went out to bid. This process allowed the city to define exactly what they wanted and expected from the project.

Results:
6,550 square feet of Bomanite® imprinted concrete was installed over the existing structural slab. Five different colors were used with three different geometric patterns. Challenges included keeping the 40 separate pours at the same elevations, keeping the colors separated in the same pour and correctly aligning all of the tooled joints. All of the installation took place while maintaining public access to the building.
