Client Need:
The City of Broomfield wanted completely unique medians and intersections for the area along Sheridan Blvd.
Solution:
Not content to just choose from the large selection of colors and patterns already available in imprinted concrete, the city had Colorado Hardscapes custom design and create a whole new set of stamps to imprint the intersections and the medians.
Results:
Working closely with the city and from the concept developed by landscape architect Frank Miltenberger, Colorado Hardscapes created the "Broomfield Wave" pattern that now graces the intersections. The concept was then incorporated into a coordinating pattern and colors for the medians. For the medians a cover material, edging, large and small end monuments were all designed using concrete. The pilasters and end monuments all had to be poured separately from the edging. The finishing touch on the pilasters is a sandblasted logo.
