Client Need:
The City of Denver came to Colorado Hardscapes looking for an upgraded paving option that would enhance the sculpture at the entrance to the Justice Center. Our scope of the the work included the sculpture base at the Denver Justice Center.
Solution: A collaboration between the Landscape Architect firm, Studio Insite, and flooring specialists at Colorado Hardscapes led to the process of developing different samples for the sculptor to approve. In the end, a combination of Sandscape® Texture and Lithocrete® with blue glass inlay was chosen. A spectacular contrast to the metallic sculpture that stands on the Lithocrete/Sandscape base. Pouring a footing for an existing structure and scheduling with all the different artisians of this sculpture made it difficult.
Results: An updated paving to the base that enhanced the sculpture itself.
