CASE STUDY INDEX
Client Need:
When the Lowe Enterprises representative came to the Colorado Hardscapes’ Design Center to check out paving options for the Tuscany Plaza, he thought he was engaging in an effort of futility. How could any concrete product meet the expectations for paving at a Class A building such as Tuscany Plaza?

Solution:
However, after thirty minutes of exploring the possibilities he found there, he was ready to recommend concrete as a replacement for tile in the atrium and walkways.

The finish decided on pushed the limits of what the experts at Colorado Hardscapes had done before. It turned out to be the first project in Denver that used a lighter-than-gray integral color with a Sandscape Texture, without using white cement. The white Lithocrete bands and the 7’ o.c.e.w. scoring required extensive forming and long straight lines. All of the concrete was installed over waterproof membrane and/or structural concrete. Both the expansion and v-cut joints required caulking.

Results:
The flow of the job and the coordination with the other trades went well. The final paving product met the first-class expectations for the paving at Tuscany Plaza.
