Client Need:
The City of Aurora wanted a play sculpture of a baseball glove holding a ball, and artist Rick Sargent needed a collaborator to help build the structure.
Solution:
Working closely with the artist, Colorado Hardscapes created a steel frame for the glove, and applied shotcrete over top of it. The shocrete was carved and colored to look like a baseball glove.
Results:
Colorado Hardscapes was eager to help on this project in order to work with talented artists, and illustrate the versatility of concrete.
