Client Need:
As with many of our projects, customization was the primary need for this plaza. A stage needed to be built around an outdoor plaza that literally radiated color. The plaza area/amphitheater was to function as a gathering place and events center for the neighborhood (i.e. Farmer's Market).
Solution:
CHI was able to give the city multiple color and finish choices for each area being installed that met the design and functionality needs of the plaza.
Results:
Altogether, 3000 square feet of paving was installed, including: Bomanite® Slate texture, Boca Pink color with saw cut joints on the stage floor. Integral color, sandblasted, special radial design of saw cut scoring, multiple colors from yellow to red to blue of topical stain were applied on the theater floor. Sandblasted colored concrete seat walls and steps.
