Client Need:
The main concern on this project was the upper mezzanine floor that was specified to be a decorative finish of imprinted concrete. Construction traffic would need to use the floor throughout construction and if the decorative concrete was installed the heavy construction vehicles would damage the floor.
Solution:
A structural slab was poured first for the construction traffic to use. When construction was finished, Colorado Hardscapes went in and installed an imprinted concrete overlay over the plain gray slab to give the decorative finish needed.
Results:
Besides solving the floor issues and installing the imprinted concrete floors and pool deck, CHI crafted 4000 square feet of GFRC and shotcrete for the themed mining props and waterslide with benches and a hot tub worked into rock. Rock and Bomanite were installed simultaneously around plants and electrical equipment.
