Client Need:
The open air retail environment of this mall required an attractive paving system as well as water features to add interest. Schedule was crucial but difficult due to the large number of trades needing access to the front of the stores where the concrete needed to be poured, and the need to open the stores on-time for the holiday shopping season.
Solution:
Colorado Hardscapes' project management skills were crucial to the successful completion of this project. Crews and other sub-contractors needed to be carefully managed in order to complete the work on time.
Results:
25,000 square feet of standard gray concrete, 28,000 square feet of colored concrete, 11,500 square feet of Bomanite® imprinted concrete and 2,700 linear feet of planter curbs were installed and the project was completed on time. The Rock crew placed two 10' diameter pre-cast stoneware fountains and also created a 30' long by 24' wide natural fountain. On all the fountains, the Rock crew was responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and lighting details, including eleven lights and eleven spray heads in the natural fountain. The rocks for the natural fountain were hand selected by the owner, the architect, and Colorado Hardscapes.
