Client Need:
Gelazzi, an upscale Italian gelato café, just opened its third location in Highlands Ranch, CO. The Gelazzi team wanted to find a way to bring to life their signature spiral, this time on the floor of the café. Their floor needed to be durable yet vibrant to remain consistent with their image.
Solution:
Colorado Hardscapes introduced them to their Micro-Top® product and showed them the many applications where they had thematically used this product. Micro-Top® allowed them to break up the different areas of the café and create the spiral on the floor. Portions of the floor were colored with a reactive rust-colored stain. Black caulking in the saw-cuts, instead of white caulking, created a cleaner separation between colors.
Results:
The reflectivity of the Micro-Top® floor met the aesthetic requirements for Gelazzi’s edgy brand and the overall theme of the café. The easy-to-clean surface and durability met their utilitarian requirements.
