Client Need:
The interior flooring at the Southglenn Stadium 14 Holly wood Theaters in the newly developed Streets of Southglenn at University Blvd. Arapahoe Rd. in Centennial, CO needed some aesthetic restoration before the grand opening of the theaters in late 2009. The original installation placed the control joints incorrectly. Russel + Davis Architects and the Hollywood Theater Corporation representative set high standards within an aggressive time frame to correct this problem.
Solution:
It took a lot of teamwork between the General Contractor and the hardscape artisans, but the professionals at Beck Group and Colorado Hardscapes were able to produce a look that was acceptable to the architect and the owner within the specified time.
Results:
To do this they covered the existing paving with Bomanite Micro Top, using a variety of dyes and repositioning the control joints in this detailed grid of circles to produce the desired look. The finished sealant and wax system resulted in a striking visual feast for the eyes as customers approach the theater kiosks.
