Client Need:
Designers needed a contractor who could work closely with them to produce the exact floor they needed for this retailer.
Solution:
Through our sampling process and with close communication with the designers CHI was able to determine exactly what the owners were looking for, and our years of experience with concrete applications helped us to use concrete to achieve the look necessary.
Results:
20,000 square feet of standard, uncolored concrete plus a special aggregate mix that was ground down to achieve a terrazzo look were installed. We then hand cut decorative saw cuts to form circles and elliptical shapes. The stairs to the 2nd level were pre-cast and finished to match the terrazzo look of the flatwork.
