CASE STUDY INDEX
Client Need:
The Wildlife Experience is an interactive and ever-changing institution that connects visitors with wildlife and habitats in a fun and educational environment. A topping was needed for the exhibit because the original floor was wood and it had been torn out leaving the floor very scarred. We would also need to do all the edging around some very irregular rock shapes built into the floor.

Solution:
The Wildlife Experience allowed how the traffic the floor would receive would be from hundreds of little kids in lines, so we went with the idea of the “beaten path”. To achieve this we chose a color for the base underlayment, which would be applied after repairs, and a darker stain for the edges to be faded into the middle. The premium flooring division corrected the flawed floor, placed the integrally colored microtopping, and applied the stain work.

Results:
The beauty of this project is that if they should lapse on the maintenance schedule and walk off the wax and sealant, it should only accent the characteristic "used" effect originally intended.
