What are Custom Finishes?
Custom finishes are typically all of the ways to finish concrete other than imprinting it. Typical custom finishes are Swirl Finish, Broom Finish, Smooth or Hard Trowel Finish, and Exposed Aggregate.
Most often integral color, or color mixed into the concrete, is used with custom finishes. However, these finishes can be stained (reactive or topical stain) or color hardener colors may be used if bolder colors (such as blues) are desired.

Custom Finishes FAQs
Q: What do you include in the Custom concrete category?
A: There is a wide range of concretes in this category: integrally colored concrete, different surface finishing techniques, i.e. swirl, broom, roller. Various surface textures, i.e. exposed aggregate. Special layouts and saw cuts fall in this Custom category.
Q: Your minimum sized job?
A: 700 square feet for flatwork (all finishes), and 1000 square feet for floors.
Q: How much more is colored concrete than standard?
A: Approximately $2.00 per square foot for 1 integral color mixed in consistently through the concrete.
Q: Can I count on you to always have the newest concrete application?
A: No! We must first test and prove that we can deliver and that the product will meet the service requirements.
Q: Can different colors and finishes be used within a specific project?
A: Yes. The ability to "mix & match" is what brings a project alive and sets it apart from the everyday uncolored concrete project. We can assist in the initial design selection process and provide specific samples of the combinations of concretes being considered.
Q: And the durability issue?
A: We build the same long-term durability into all of our concrete products.
Q: How is a Custom project costed out?
A: Generally the Custom concretes fall into a mid-range as far a price is concerned.
