With higher demands on health care, the standards for the facilities and their sites continues to increase as well.
Colorado Hardscapes completed the decorative site concrete and site furnishings package for Denver’s new St. Joseph Hospital Heritage Project in 2014 for Mortensen Construction. While most of the concrete was uncolored broom finish, the standards were set high and the landscape architect creatively added touches of decorative concrete to enhance the entire project while keeping within budget. The entryways featured colored concrete to enhance the areas as well as help with way finding. Between the pedestrian and vehicular concrete the landscape architect designed a black Sandscape band with vehicular bollards. These simple, yet thoughtful, design elements helped enhance the site concrete and highness expectations of the new state-of-the-art healthcare facility.
