Williams Village
The University of Colorado in Boulder, CO came to Colorado Hardscapes wanting to update their Student Housing. They wanted to create an upgraded paving scheme that created continuity and flow around the sidewalks, steps, and exterior spaces.
As a decorative concrete company, Colorado Hardscapes provided appropriate finishes, colors and textures that worked cohesively with the design concept. They used specialty scoring of Sandscape® in a grid pattern with a Lithocrete® overlay appearing "river-like" and giving the walkways a unique look. Colorado Hardscapes worked with BHA Landscape Architects on the construction details.

Clyfford Still Museum
Polished interior flooring and form-place finish on the exterior sidewalks, entry-pad, and steps was used. The exterior finish was ground and sandblasted to give a similar look to the interior polished floor, but to have a courser feel for slip-resistance. This new building is located directly west of the Denver Art Museum. The correlation between the interior and exterior concrete was completed successfully and the polished flooring inside was the appropriate look that the designer was looking for.

Denver Zoo Northern Shore
The Denver Zoo was looking for an update to their Northern Shore exhibit. Previously, the seating/play area was limited, therefore a concept plan was developed to allow for adequate seating for parents and plenty of play areas for children. The interactive streambed encourages exploring nature, splashing and wading. A seating wall merges with the stream bed, allowing plenty of room for parents to take a break and cool off in the shade.

Castle Pines Residence
Planning for the landscape and pool project at this Castle Pines residence included early meetings at Colorado Hardscapes’ Design Center with a landscape designer. Final selections included the use of natural stone paving and cast-in-place concrete; both horizontal and vertical. Landscape walls, pool coping, cast-in-place patio stones, and the fireplace hearth were placed with Sandscape Texture™ finish, utilizing a specialty light buff integral color, achieved by utilizing titanium dioxide in the concrete mix.
