Pavilion of Reflection at Olinger Crown Hill Wheat Ridge, CO
The most unique venue at Crown Hill is the new Pavilion of Reflection which features Bomanite imprinted concrete in a Northern Brown/Desert Tan colored Colorado Sandstone pattern. Natural boulders and the water and fire features were incorporated into the Bomanite paving. |

Inside, the pavilion's atmoshpere is created with open-beam wood architecture and an integrally colored polished concrete floor. The reflective nature of the Mesa Buff integrally colored polished concrete floor lends a nice contrast to the texture of the imprinted concrete that paves the transition from inside to out. |

Lithocrete: The Structural Alternative in Achitectural Paving

Our Team Profile: Jay Fangman Elected Director for DCC

The Decorative Concrete Council (DCC) elected Colorado Hardscapes' own Jay Fangman council director for 2007-2008 in Las Vegas on April 12, 2007 at the council's board meeting.
The DCC is a specialty council of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of those who build with concrete, and to providing them with a unified voice in the construction industry. The DCC advances the quality and use of decorative concrete systems including stamped and stained concrete as well as concrete floor systems. There are approximately 530 member companies of the ASCC.
Jay Fangman has been a member of ASCC and DCC for 6 years. He has been with Colorado Hardscapes as a concrete consultant and director of business development for the past 18 years. Altogether Jay has 33 years of experience in the concrete industry, spending 15 years in the concrete ready mix industry prior to joining Colorado Hardscapes.

Green Issue Features Stained Concrete with Graphics
Sources + Design's July/August 2007 issue features green projects, including the Army Aviation Support Facility at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, CO. The Coover-Clark & Associates designed building is LEED Silver Certified and

Concrete Dyes by John Buteyn
Concrete dyes, available to Colorado Hardscapes through Bomanite, expand the possibilities of coloring a concrete floor. Concrete dyes are available in a wide range of colors and can be applied as water based or solvent based.
They do not react chemically with the concrete but utilize very fine colorants that penetrate the concrete and produce coloration similar to what you might expect from a chemical stain. Dyes are easy to apply, quick to dry, produce immediate color, and require little clean-up, resulting in earlier completion of a project.
Some of the dyes are not UV stable so at this point we only recommend the use of dyes for application on interior floors. A successful installation includes sealers and maintenance of the floor for long lasting beauty.
