In 2019, we could not pass up the opportunity from Colorado’s professional baseball club to replace the “Columbine Flowers” outside of Coors Field along Blake Street. The original artwork, installed about 20 years ago, was cracking and spalling beyond repair and in dire need of renovation. First, our crews created templates of the original layout so they could replicate the design of the Columbines exactly. After removing the adjoining brick and the concrete, we installed 6 different color hardeners and 1 integral color. Lastly, we installed Sandscape® on the perimeter band and Sandscape® Refined in the center circle. Today, these two Coors Field Columbines are vibrant, eye-catching additions to the stadium exterior.
