In collaboration with Brightview and Civitas, Colorado Hardscapes played a major role in the construction of Discovery Park at Windler. This new community-focused park in Aurora was built for the Windler Public Improvement Authority and involved a variety of gray concrete elements.
Our scope of work included 539 LF of seatwalls, a 58 LF, 13-foot-tall curved climbing wall, 3,226 LF of parterre planters, 1,022 LF of planter walls, six polished concrete slides, a 42 LF monument sign wall, and 509 LF of retaining walls with footers. Ludwig Drilling assisted with caisson installation for the climbing wall. Moreover, we built the climbing wall with a smooth, curved finish designed to support climbing grips.
The Discovery Park at Windler project set an internal record for the number of walls placed at a single location. With the skill of our teams, we delivered a safe, durable, and engaging community space for Aurora residents to enjoy.
