Nature Play

In collaboration with Dig Studio and Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds, we helped bring the new Nature Play space at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science to life. This thoughtfully designed four-acre park invites guests of all ages and abilities to connect with nature, spark curiosity, and create lasting memories together.

Our team constructed two signature slides—Box Canyon and Alpine—each one crafted to evoke the natural landscapes of Colorado. With careful shaping and surface refinement, we ensured each ride offered both excitement and a smooth, safe experience. The designer integrated the slides seamlessly with the surrounding environment, supporting the park’s goal of continuity between natural forms and human activity.

This was more than a construction project—it was a chance to support a space that fosters connection: between people, between generations, and between visitors and the land. We worked closely with the design team to maintain the integrity of the park’s natural features while building structures that encourage play, wonder, and sensory exploration.

This project called for both accuracy and creativity. We carefully matched our work to the nearby boulders, trails, and plantings to help the park feel natural and connected.

At Colorado Hardscapes, we believe hardscapes should do more than just serve a purpose—they should add meaning and beauty. We’re proud to have helped build Nature Play, where people of all ages can play, relax, and explore.
