Colorado Hardscapes served as the General Contractor for the renovation of the Pioneer Park splash pad, delivering a safe, vibrant, and engaging aquatic amenity for the community of Commerce City. We partnered with Counsilman-Hunsaker on aquatics design, Landwise for landscaping repairs, and Waterplay for spray feature design and supply.
The scope of work included full removal of the existing splash pad and mechanical vault, installation of upgraded mechanical and plumbing systems, and construction of a ~26-inch thick colored Sandscape® splash pad covering 2,642 square feet. New Waterplay features provide interactive, accessible play for children of all ages, creating a fun and inclusive environment.
Officially reopening over Memorial Day weekend 2025, the renovated splash pad at Pioneer Park represents a significant investment in community recreation. This project strengthens The Park’s role as a neighborhood gathering place where families can connect, children can play, and the community can thrive for years to come.
