At Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, Colorado Hardscapes teamed up with Vertix Builders to bring new life to the Sea Lion Habitat. Taking us a little over a month, three of our crews worked six days a week to meet the schedule.
Our scope of work included rebar and shotcrete for the large pool (6,004 SF), the small pool (1,567 SF), and the adjoining beach area (3,012 SF). Additionally, we did some custom rockwork repairs using M.S. Gunite sculpted concrete techniques.
All finished surfaces feature our premium Sandscape® textured concrete, combining the natural appearance of sand with the strength and durability of concrete. Every mix design incorporated integral color to achieve a seamless, natural look throughout.
We are proud to have contributed to another exceptional project at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance. The Sea Lion Habitat now provides another interactive and enriching environment that both residents and visitors can enjoy.
