Boulder Civic Area Park

Colorado Hardscapes recently completed work on the re-imagining and construction of the Boulder Civic Area Park, built along Boulder Creek. Meetings with Tom Leader Studio resulted in selections of Sandscape® (our premium version of sand finish) and exposed aggregate finishes. PCL Construction served as the general contractor. As a result, of the collaboration and teamwork, PCL reported its pleasure with the quality and final finishes.

A highlight of the project is the two-block long “Spine”, the pathway that extends 11th Street through the park. The path includes Kodiak Sandscape® with black beauty sand, an exposed aggregate border, and 12” x 30” decorative sawcut scoring. Additionally, the multi-use path at Boulder Civic Area Park incorporated Sandscape and broom finished concrete to identify the pedestrian and bike lane portions of the path. The consistency of finishes and the long continuous sawcuts are indicators of the overall quality of the job.
