Our Top Three Projects of 2023

Celebrating the fruit of our labor.

With hard work and dedication, Colorado Hardscapes exceeded expectations and set record production numbers while maintaining a safe work environment. 2023 was filled with many remarkable moments, including the expansion of our Design Center, receiving coveted awards from DCC and Bomanite, and undertaking groundbreaking projects.

Project 1: Adams County Veterans Memorial – A Touching Tribute

The Adams County Veterans Memorial is a heartwarming project we were honored to be a part of. Alongside DHM Design, ECI Site Construction Management, and various people at Adams County, CHI helped create a multitude of monuments. Most notably, we helped recreate a replica of the USS Colorado battleship.

Our team, led by Jeremy Lefever, Nick Federico, and Ramon Torres, utilized a new form liner method in collaboration with Scott System. We successfully produced a 230 SF photomural on a curved concrete “Story Wall.” The project involved almost every product we provide. We placed Sandscape, Sandscape Refined, broom finish, stamped concrete, walls, benches, MicroTop, and Lithomisaic tiles

Through this project, our company gained invaluable experience and contributed to the creation of a significant local landmark. The grand opening of the memorial took place on Memorial Day, 2023; a momentous occasion for us to observe.

Project 2: Central Park Station Plaza – Transforming Urban Spaces

Working with Mortenson and Dig Studio, we took on a large-scale hardscaping project at the Central Park Station Plaza. This project presented various challenges, like figuring out how to work around inclement weather and a layout that had no room for error.

The project features 20,000 sq. ft. of plaza paving, 14,000 sq. ft. of street paving, curb and gutter, and 8,000 sq. ft. of pavers. Throughout, we used Sandscape paving with alternating integral colors. Moreover, we initiated the installation of three massive custom precast bench planters (created by QCP Corp and installed by Gallegos Corp).

Our team’s expertise and professionalism shone through to deliver one of the most decorative and complex streets within the City of Denver.

Project 3: Braxton Apartments – A Luxury Pool Experience

Working with Carmel Partners and Colorado Pool Designs, CHI created one of our favorite pool projects to date at the Braxton Apartments in Lakewood, CO.

Our team installed top-of-the-line features on the 2,500 gal raised spa and 23,600 gal pool. Features include a baja shelf, Diamond Brite Plaster, Dal-tile, and Pentair ColorVision LED Bubbler with GloBrite LED Lights, among others. The size of the pool alone is enough to be proud of, but the added premium elements take this pool and spa to the next level.

Colorado Hardscapes completed the entirety of the pool work in-house. It stands as the perfect example of the type of aquatics we provide.
