In 2024, we pushed ourselves to go further than ever before. No matter how unique or ambitious the task, we stayed committed to precision and finding solutions.

However, none of these opportunities would have been possible without the trust and collaboration of our clients.

Below, we’ve compiled a selection of standout projects from 2024. Take a moment to review and celebrate these shared accomplishments with us!

Top Projects of 2024

1. Paul Derda Rec Center – Rehabilitating the Right Way

Our project at the Paul Derda Recreation Center in Broomfield, CO, allowed us to reimagine the aging rockwork in the center’s beloved swimming pool. In addition to creating visually striking new rock structures, our team addressed critical challenges such as installing galvanized rebar to prevent rust. Meanwhile, we ensured proper ventilation during construction and remained committed to adhering to a rigorous project timeline.

2. One River North – Elevated Concrete and Aquatics

At One River North in Denver, we took our craftsmanship to new heights—literally. This 17-story marvel featured unique applications like specialty exposed aggregate ribbons, intricate Sandscape stairs, and a rooftop shotcrete swimming pool. Moreover, maneuvering materials to the rooftop and working within tight urban spaces highlighted our team’s ingenuity, adaptability, and precision. Custom solutions like shotcrete pools and imported aggregates brought the project’s iconic “slot canyon” concept vividly to life.

3. Novel Uptown – Stainless Steel Pool & Spa

The Novel Uptown project included installing a commercial stainless steel swimming pool and spa from Bradford Products. The vessels were successfully craned into place in just one day. Protecting the fully tiled vessel while balancing design intent with Denver’s strict code requirements was a key challenge. This included managing a significant amount of concrete. As our first stainless steel pool project, it marked a major milestone for us. We’re incredibly proud of our team for delivering exceptional results.

4. Enso ZEN Apartments – A Concrete Zen Garden

When the designer visited our Design Center, they were able to see a tangible example of how their project could come to life. Inspired by two Sandscape Refined mockups, they chose to combine elements that created a calming, organically divided, and visually striking space—while maximizing the small courtyard’s layout without taking up any vertical space. This collaboration not only helped the client envision the possibilities but also set clear expectations for the quality of decorative concrete. The addition of a stainless steel logo embedded into the Sandscape further elevated the space, adding a refined finishing touch.

5. USAFA Visitor Center – Custom White Bands vs Marble

At the USAFA Visitor Center, we used custom-exposed white aggregate bands to replicate the look of traditional white marble bands. Despite delays and weather challenges, our team adapted quickly. We completed over 18,000 sq. ft. of field paving with great care and precision. We’re proud to contribute to meaningful projects at the Air Force Academy through innovative products and techniques and look forward to more collaborations in our pipeline.

A Year of Teamwork and Excellence

This year, many projects tested our expertise, teamwork, and resilience, yet, every challenge presented an opportunity to learn and grow. None of these successes would have been possible without the incredible people we work alongside every day—from our talented team members to our valued clients and partners.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we move forward, we’re already gearing up for exciting new projects in the year ahead. Each one will be an opportunity to push our limits and create something extraordinary once again.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Finally, to our team, clients, and community, thank you for believing in us, challenging us, and sharing our passion for crafting extraordinary spaces. Here’s to a joyful holiday season and an even brighter 2025.
Warm regards,
